Taming the Invoice Flood: An Insurer’s Automation Success

An insurance carrier struggled with a high volume of vendor invoices arriving through email, each requiring manual review, data entry, and online navigation for payment. Staff often had to sift through multiple inboxes, download attachments, and painstakingly confirm each transaction, leading to errors, delays, and unnecessary administrative expenses.

By implementing EOX Vantage’s technology to automate bulk invoice payments, the insurer transformed this repetitive chore. When an email arrived with a specific subject line, automation triggered a sequence of bots to download Excel attachments, log into the appropriate payment website, and complete the payment process. A confirmation email was then sent to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and copy retention.

With this streamlined automation, error rates fell significantly, payments were processed more quickly, and staff could spend more time on high-value tasks like vendor relationship management and strategic planning.
